Hi, I'm Jamie. Along with being a City Councilor, I am a single Mom to my 5-year-old son, and quite possibly the number one fan of my hometown. Raised in Santa Fe and educated in Santa Fe's public schools, I graduated from Santa Fe High in 2003.
I believe that uniting us more than dividing us are shared experiences that make us Santa Feans: attending our public schools, hiking in our mountains, playing in parks with our children, and learning at an early age that Christmas is more than a holiday.
The past few years have been challenging. Through it all I never lost faith that the caring spirit permeating our community would prevail. It is this unity, resilience, and dedication to building a better tomorrow that inspires me to seek a second term.
Before being elected as a Councilor, I worked in public health with unhoused and low-income families. My work in the public health field drove me to pursue life as a policymaker. Someone had to step up and change political systems blocking everyday people from living better lives. I accepted the challenge.
That was four years ago. Since then I have hit my stride with solutions to issues impacting families, land use, and our housing crisis.
My education includes a Bachelor's degree from Lewis & Clark College and a Master's in Public Health from UCLA. I hope to earn your vote on November 7, 2023 and continue to work for us.
